This is the printer's file, so it looks strange on screen. It runs onto 7 sheets of letter paper and folds into one 28 page zine.

Plenty of people hit a wall when they try to vote. Their name is missing from the voter list. The mail ballot never showed up. The signature on the envelope doesn't match. Someone at the door tells them they can't.

None of that happens by chance. This guide covers the barriers that come up most often, and what to do about each one.

It's free and it stays free. Print as many as you want and hand them out.

How to print it

Any printer that does double sided pages can handle this. A copy shop will do a nicer job on a big run. Your office printer handles a dozen fine.

  1. Print all 14 pages double sided on letter paper, set to flip on the long edge. Print at 100%. Turn off any fit to page or shrink to fit setting, or the fold stops landing in the middle.
  2. Fold every sheet in half so it ends up tall and narrow.
  3. Slide the folded sheets inside one another, keeping them in order.
  4. Staple twice along the fold.
  5. English starts at the front cover. Turn the whole zine over and upside down for the Spanish.

Taking it somewhere to be printed? The spec is black and white, saddle stitch, letter paper trimmed to 3.75 by 9. Every page prints in black, so nobody needs to charge you for color.

P.S. Run one sheet first. Printers disagree about which way to flip a page, and one test saves you the other six.
